During my work as Communications Manager at the Institute of Corporate Directors, I had the opportunity to launch their flagship podcast series, Be It Resolved. Over the course of several months, I worked in collaboration with the CEO, the Communications Director, and key members of the leadership, communications, and marketing teams. Together, we built a podcast framework, outreach strategy, and strategic launch plan. I worked with key internal colleagues, subject-matter experts, and podcast agency representatives to plan recording sessions and oversee podcast creation.
Behind the scenes, I worked closely with the Communications Director to develop podcast briefs, facilitate outreach to new speakers, plan recording sessions, oversee recordings, and review podcast audio for quality assurance. During my tenure in the first season, the podcast had 4,000 total downloads, averaging 400 per episode. The podcast ranked in the top 10% of podcasts in its category. In addition to the ICD Be It Resolved Podcast Series, I collaborated closely with the Communications Director to drive social media, magazine, and content development initiatives, as well as to optimize workflows. Through these efforts, LinkedIn followers increased by over 3,500 followers, with a 23% increase in weekly impressions and a 55% increase in user engagement. Across other content pillars, we aligned national programming, enhanced visibility, streamlined communications, and amplified brand presence.
